There were 1,337 housing units at an average density of 20.2/km² (52.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.33% White, 0.47% African American, 0.22% Native American, 1.20% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 0.57% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.82% of the population. There were 1,309 households out of which 47.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.4% were married couples living together, 4.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.6% were non-families. 11.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.05 and the average family size was 3.31.
