The D.C.-based group, led by smooth-talking Tony Perkins, has been preaching its distorted "values" for nearly 30 years — and was branded a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2010 for its vitriolic attacks on LGBT people, based on fraudulent research.
