NAR Reports that Median US Existing Home Price Declined to $165,400

The National Association of REALTORS recently announced that in September the median US existing home sold for right at $165,400 as compared to the August median price of $171,200. This represents a 3.5% decline.

Regionally the largest decline was in the West where the September median price was $207,400. This was a 4.5% decline. The results for other regions were: $229,400 (-3.3%) for the Northeast, $137,400 (-1.4%) for the Midwest, and $144,400 (-3.0) for the South.
